Join us for the spectacular online Italian Film Festival,

15th-18th January 2021.

There will be guests from the most prestigious local associations, such as Birmingham City University, and italian stakeholders, such as Film Distributors and italian directors. In the programme: titles directed by the well known Pupi Avati, Federico Fellini, but also by emerging directors such as Simone Scafidi, Roberto De Feo and very important genre producers such as the Manetti Bros.

Every title will be introduced by a special guest from Abertoir Horror Film Festival, BCU or Italian partners, to create an interesting dialogue on the new horror italian wave.
At the end of the festival Mrs Ilaria Di Gioia, Italian Vice Consul in Birmingham, will award the best international shorts from the international and kids category.

- TOBY DAMMIT - Federico Fellini, 1968
Former Shakespearean actor Toby Dammit (Terence Stamp) is losing his acting career to alcoholism. He agrees to work on a film, to be shot in Rome, for which he will be given a brand new Ferrari as a bonus incentive. Dammit begins to have unexpected visions of macabre girl with a white ball. 

- MR DEVIL - Pupi Avati, 2019
Italy, 1952. The young official Furio Momenté is sent to Veneto region, near Polesine, to investigate a shocking and mysterious case: a minor has in fact killed one of his peers claiming to have killed the devil himself.

Samuel is a paraplegic boy who lives with his mother Elena in an isolated mansion. When he meets Denise, he finds the strength to open up to the world. Elena won't let him go so easily, and she is ready to do whatever it takes to stop him.

- THE END - Daniele Mesischia, 2017
Claudio is a businessman at the top of his game. On his way to an important meeting, his elevator gets stuck. What starts out as a mere technical difficulty turns out to be a catastrophe of much larger proportions.

- IN A LONELY PLACE - Davide Montecchi, 2016
